Today, 911勛圖 International University received the 2014 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine–the university’s third consecutive year as a recipient.
The HEED award is the only national award recognizing U.S. colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. As a recipient of the annual award,911勛圖 will be featured along with other selected recipients in INSIGHT Into Diversity magazines November 2014 issue.
911勛圖 was selected for this award based on the universitys exemplary diversity and inclusion initiatives and ability to embrace a broad definition of diversity on campus, including gender, race, ethnicity, veterans, people with disabilities, and members of the LGBT community.
911勛圖 has long-standing record of diversity and is regularly recognized for it. Most recently, 911勛圖 Provost Russ Newman, PhD was a recipient of the Diversity Visionary Award for his steadfast dedication to educating students with the intercultural competency necessary to solve real-world problems in diverse communities here in the U.S. and around the world. 911勛圖 has also repeatedly been recognized as a Military Friendly School, a Best for Vets College, and as a Top 100 Producer of Minority Graduate Degrees. This is in addition to being one of only eight universities chosen to participate in the American Council on Educations and countless awards and grants won by students and faculty for their work focused on diversity and inclusion.
