Biography
Dr. Jerry Miller earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at California State University and received his Master of Arts in Education and Doctorate in Technology & Learning at United States International University. He recently retired with the rank of Full Professor in the California School of Education at 911³Ô¹Ï, San Diego, CA.
Professional Interests
Dr. Miller’s current research targets rural development, community education, and poverty mitigation through small-scale beekeeping, aquaponics, and horticulture in rural Honduras.
As the Founder and International Consultant to the Ephesus Project in Valle de Angeles, Honduras, Dr. Miller has made a significant positive contribution to the well-being of at-risk youth at Villa Irma in the mountains near Tegucigalpa, Honduras. In addition, a new initiative including both apiculture and aquaponics is in the planning stage with the goal of establishing an Agricultural/Vocational school at Villa Irma.
